“Join us in finding the next-generation of learning systems capable of reasoning causally about the world.”

Group Leader
Dr. Devendra Singh Dhami is the Head of the CAUSE Lab. He received his PhD from University of Texas at Dallas. His research interests are multi-faceted and are currently centered around building causal models, neuro-symbolic AI, probabilistic models (incorporating relational information and causality) and graph neural networks. He is also interested in the intersection of causality and neuro-symbolic AI where the causal models inform neuro-symbolic models and vice versa in order to learn better systems.
Student
Florian Peter Busch, M.Sc. is a Ph.D. Candidate at TU Darmstadt. His research focuses on causality. Currently, he is working on Sum-Product Networks and how they can be used to answer causal questions.
Student
Jingyuan Sha, M.Sc. is a Ph.D. Candidate at TU Darmstadt. His research area is mainly concerned with neural symbolic artificial intelligence. He is currently focusing on recognizing and reasoning about dynamic spatial relationships of objects in three-dimensional space.
Student
Felix Divo, M.Sc. is a Starting Ph.D. Candidate at TU Darmstadt.
